Hi Scott! How do accounts payable and other departments collaborate? What are the growth opportunities?

We Global Business Services (GBS) team in Poland who do a great job in managing our operational finance activities, including accounts payable, banking and management accounting. The GBS and local finance teams work collaboratively to deliver on these activities and we have developed a strong relationship across the teams, even though geographically we are apart.

With offices across various countries supporting both banner and group activities, there are lots of opportunities for growth within the Finance teams across Kingfisher. We are encouraged to seek out these opportunities and employees are well supported if they want to move to different teams across the organisation.

Management work closely to identify talent across the teams and there are regular discussions on team members and what their next role may be. This is then use to create succession planning within the teams and provide employees with opportunities to communicate what they would like their next career step to be, so that they can be supported when the opportunity arises.
